Syo Kurusu x Reader: Gentle smile

You just failed your recording test and Hyuuga-sensei said he’s going to downgrade you from S class if you don’t pass it next time. You went out of the recording room while some students just entered for their recording text. Hyuuga-sensei said you lacked technique and you’d better rehearse more. You knew something sounded wrong when you were singing but you couldn’t ever figure what. You walked around the corner bumping into Syo Kurusu. You both fell on the floor and you looked down, really sorry for the incident. You said you were sorry as he checked your right hand.
‘You’re hurt, he said. Let me…’ He searched his bag and took out a band-aid, sticking it gently over the scratches you got.
‘T-thank y-you’, you murmured, blushing a little. He started to pick the scattered stuff after you bumped into him. As he picked up your result-paper from the recording you began to fidget.
‘C-can y-you just…give it back?’ you asked him. He handed it gently to you.
‘If you need help with the technique you should go ask Tokiya for help.’ He shrugged. You looked away from Syo for a second.
‘He’s never around too much. And I doubt he’d help me if I just asked like that.’ You looked sad to the ground.
‘I guess it won’t be that bad, to be in A class. I mean, there not much difference is it?’ you said with an empty tone. You did your best to enter S class at Saotome Academy and you worked hard for every bit of it and still…
‘Then I guess I’ll have to help you.’ said he with a determined look on his face. ‘Are you free now?’
‘Y-yes.’ you managed to say while he took you by the hand and dragged you to an empty music room. He took the music sheet you gave him to see.
‘Well, this is more like for piano but I can only play well the violin. Are you alright with it?’ said Syo analyzing it. You shook your head.
‘It’ll do.’ You smiled at him. He blushed a bit then he concentrated to play the song so you could practice the lyrics. You stared to sing the lyrics; you had a warm, beautiful voice, but some parts won’t sound as they should. At those times Syo stopped and gave you clues on how to change the tone, length and measure of those sounds until it sounded way better.
‘Well, I’m not as good as Tokiya at this but it should do now. I’m sure you’ll pass the recording this time!’ said Syo trying to make you feel better. Not that he lied, by the look on his face you could tell he really believed in you. You couldn’t help but to smile from the bottom of your heart at him.
‘Thank you so much, Kurusu-kun.’ He got flustered as you spoke and smile. He blushed and covered his face with a hand.
‘Y-you can call me Syo…’
The next day you took the recording again, passing this time. Hyuuga-sensei looked proud of you and nodded as you passed him with a huge smile on your face. You darted across the hallway into the same music room you rehearsed a day ago with Syo, and found him waiting for you there.
‘SYO-KUN! I MADE IT!’ By the moment impulse you embraced him happily making him blush. Why is he blushing?
‘I’m glad you made it.’ said Syo on a soft tone you’ve never heard before from him. You stared at his face for a second. His blue eyes were bright with happiness and his lips curved into a little shy smile. What is this feeling? Your heart started to beat so fast you just though for a second he’d hear it. You blushed this time. Syo didn’t react anyhow you thought. Instead he played with a mesh of your ________ colored hair.
‘You know…’ he started to say, making a small pause as he tried to find his words. ‘I enjoyed being your teacher even for one day and…’ he paused again. ‘I just wanted you to know that…’ he turned red like a crab trying to say the last part. You almost couldn’t refrain yourself from smiling like an idiot as you realized what he wanted to say.
‘Why are you smiling…?’ he asked, his face still red. ‘I…I LIKE YOU!’ he gathered all his courage to say it then he blushed even harder whispering ‘I can’t believe I said it…’ covering his mouth with his hand. You took his hand gently and responded ‘I like you too’ and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Then he turned his head and pressed his lips on yours, surprising you. He was holding you close but as energic as he usually was, as gentle was his kiss.
